Greta Thunberg, the young Swedish climate activist, has donated 100,000 euros from her foundation to program Covax for global access to Covid-19 vaccines. “The international community must do more to address the tragedy that is vaccine inequality,” said Greta Thunberg.
“We have the means at our disposal to correct the great imbalance that exists today in the world in the fight against Covid-19. Just like with the climate crisis, we must first help the most vulnerable, ”he added.
The donation will support thepurchase of vaccines for the most vulnerable populations and to health workers in some of the poorest countries in the world. Covax, according to the activist, “offers the best path to secure one true fairness of the vaccine and a way out of the pandemic ”.
