Attention to categories in difficulty but maintenance of all services and projects, is what contains the 2021 budget approved by the municipal council of Sarzana. It was presented this morning by the mayor Cristina Ponzanelli and by the councilor for the budget Daniele Baroni.
The 100 euro baby bonus has been confirmed for each new baby. They are also provided 19 new permanent hires, including four in the local police, and 80 thousand euros of investments in security for the enhancement of video surveillance. “The cameras will increase to 100 by the end of the year, but they could also become 150 if we manage to intercept other resources”, explained Baroni.
The Municipality has made available, among other things, a treasure from 30 thousand euros for the adaptation of local public dehors according to the new municipal regulation, for an average contribution of 1,500 euros for 20-25 years.
“One million euro, for three years, has been allocated for the redevelopment of our roads and for the removal of architectural barriers – explains Ponzanelli – Social expenditure has also increased, which is an important item for our budget, equal to 3 million and 308 thousand euros “.
Debt unchanged compared to last year.
Since 2018, over 25 million euros have been intercepted by third parties. “This has allowed us to respond to the needs of citizens, against a budget that we have inherited with ‘holes’ as well as our roads”, added Ponzanelli.
While for the major works in the program the new road network in the Bradia district for almost 3.5 million euros, the new Poggi Carducci school for over 13 million euros, the new swimming pool in Santa Caterina for 2 million and 200 thousand euros.
For the management of the Impavidi theater, the contribution of 35 thousand euros has been confirmed, which will rise to 45 thousand for 2022 and 2023. 318 thousand euros are also expected to support cultural initiatives, including the Festival of the Mind.
