MSI today hosted an event streaming during which it announced two 2-in-1 business laptops a Summit brand with processors 11th generation Intel Core, these will be the new ones MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo 13-inch – which is already available – and the larger model, the MSI Summit E16 Flip.
MSI is expanding its Summit line of premium thin and light laptops for the business market with these two new convertible notebooks, but let’s take a closer look at them to see features and differences.
New MSI Summit: E13 Flip Evo
Equipped with a 13.4 inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, 360 degree hinge and pen holder, can be used safely in laptop or tablet mode, or even as a support screen, plus it is powered by a processor Intel Core i7-1185G7 with Iris Xe graphics, it is a fairly powerful notebook.
In addition to being powerful, the first of the new MSI Summit is also compact: the notebook measures less than 0.6 inches thick and weighs less than 3 pounds.
The laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, a backlit keyboard, 2W stereo speakers and a 70 Wh battery which according to the company lasts up to 20 hours (but that’s a claim I’d take with a grain of salt, since PC makers have a habit of shooting the most “generous” battery life measurements possible).
Other features include a webcam with privacy shutter and IR support for Windows Hello face recognition, a hidden microSD card reader, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a 3-inch audio jack. , 5 mm. The laptop is available in white or black color options.
The first of the new MSI Summits is available starting today at the starting price of $ 1.599; the starting price is for a model with 16 GB of LPDDR4x-4267 memory e 512 GB of memory solid state PCIe NVMe, but there’s also a $ 1899 model with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Nuovi MSI Summit: E16 Flip
Along with the E13, among the new MSI Summits, we also find a larger model called MSI Summit E16 Flip which features a 16-inch QHD + display and optional support for the NVIDIA graphics.
The second of the new MSI Summits, namely the Summit E16 Flip is a convertible laptop with display touchscreen QHD + da 16 pollici, 360 degree hinge, support for an active pen and support for a processor Intel Core i7 Tiger Lake and optional graphics from the series NVIDIA GeForce RTX.
Again, MSI says all this power is packed into a compact design, with the laptop measuring 16.85mm thick and weighing less than three pounds.
Like the new Summit E13 Flip Evo, the new 16-inch convertible joins MSI’s line of thin and light business laptops but, unlike the 13-inch model, it’s unclear when you’ll be able to get your hands on the second model. of the new MSI Summits, let alone know how much it will cost or when it will arrive.
MSI has confirmed that the E16 Flip will support WiFi 6E, will be equipped with ports Thunderbolt 4 and will support “enterprise-grade security,” but the company’s announcement was otherwise a bit light on the details.
Renderings of the laptop print also show a fingerprint sensor, a HDMI port standard size, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and a microSD card reader.
MSI is touting the second of the new MSI Summits as “the thinnest 16-inch convertible laptop in the 2-in-1 laptop market,” which is certainly not particularly big and in fact, we can’t think of anything else in that category.
More interesting are the new GPU and the new one tecnologia Dynamic Cooler Boost, with the company claiming that the latter will keep the noise up to 35 dB, even when the CPU is under full load.
Both of MSI’s new laptops will support MSI’s new optional accessories, including:
- MSI pen, the first active stylus released by the company, which recharges via USB-C, supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, supports Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0, has an LED battery notification, an all-metal body and ability to magnetically attach to the side of a laptop;
- MSI Gen 2 USB-C docking station with 100W power, HDMI and DisplayPort, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-0C ports, Gigabit Ethernet and headphone jack.
