Tests with Leclerc’s Ferrari in Barcelona have already been carried out, and Pirelli continues the tire program for next year’s World Championship. Next appointment at the end of March in Bahrain
Pirelli has planned ten development test sessions for 2021, for a total of 28 days, with nine Formula 1 teams ahead of the 2022 season which will introduce new technical regulations including the switch to 18-inch tires. The development program had already started in 2019 (in view of the transition that was initially supposed to take place in 2021) but was then suspended in 2020 due to the coronavirus.

pirelli tests, how they will be
—
In 2021, the 18-inch tests involve the use of both dry (slick, seven sessions) and wet (wet, three sessions) tires with four dedicated sessions and six that will take place immediately after a race weekend. This year, in total, the test sessions are spread over 20 machine days but, considering that more than one manufacturer will be involved in some sessions, in fact there will be 28 machine days in total (22 on dry and 6 on wet) .
