The future of the brand Lancia begins to take shape. The car manufacturer of the Stellantis group, which today unveiled the restyling of its only model in the range, the Ypsilon, is preparing for a revolution in view of the coming years: the goal is to play a leading role in the premium market segment, a clear change of course compared to what has been done to date. Word of Luca Napolitano, the new head of the Lancia brand, who spoke on the sidelines of the presentation of the new Ypsilon.
Lancia Ypsilon, androgynous restyling
“The Lancia brand has a future, the relaunch project is being studied, it will take a few months – the Lancia number one commented – Over the next fifteen years it will be a highly respected brand in the premium market ”. Napolitano clearly speaks of clear signals launched by the Stellantis group, which through a series of very specific strategies is outlining what the future of the brand will be. The Lancia number one, however, does not use too many words in explaining that only facts can confirm what was promised: “The fact that Lancia has a boss like Jeep, Peugeot or Citroen seems to me an obvious declaration of intent. Like the fact that it is placed in a different context from the current one with the Alfa and Ds brands, is another declaration of intent. To the declarations of intent however they have to follow the facts“.
Napolitano: “Lancia looks to the future with optimism and passion”
Good ideas and the work of many months are the two keys that can lead the brand to an important success. Maybe starting already from new Ypsilon, which brings with it several innovations first of all on the aesthetic side, since there is a new grille and new headlights. The antibacterial filter also appears as standard, while from the technological point of view, a standard 7 ″ touchscreen and the connection of the internal environment with Apple and Android smartphones steals the show. Prices start at € 15,100.
