Both teams lost in the last round: the Lady won only one point in the two most recent matches at the Stadium
An all-black challenge at the Allianz Stadium to inaugurate the new year. 2020 ended in the worst way for Juventus and Udinese, defeats at home in the last round respectively against Fiorentina and Benevento. Pirlo and Gotti want to start immediately on the right foot: the Lady is -10 behind leaders Milan, with one game less (against Napoli, after the decision to revoke the 3-0 at the table); the Friulians occupy the twelfth position with 15 points, but must recover the challenge against Atalanta.
The last match between the two teams was won by Udinese: 2-1 on 23 July, when operations resumed after the lockdown. Defeat of Juve that made noise, because the team coached at that time by Sarri missed the opportunity to close the Scudetto speech and postponed the appointment. Before that match, the Piedmontese had won the five previous Serie A matches against the Friulians, who have not won two games in a row against Juventus since 1962. The Lady has won the last four direct matches played at home and found goal in all the last nine games played in the league against Udinese: the last time the Friulians kept a clean sheet against the Italian champions was in August 2015, with Karnezis in goal.
Pirlo cannot be satisfied with Juve’s start to the championship, which drew six times in the first thirteen matches as in 2001/02, the year they won the Scudetto on the last day against Udinese. Against Gotti’s team, the Lady wants to return to success at home after a point in the last two home games of the league: Juve are not without home wins for three consecutive Serie A matches since the beginning of the 2015/16 tournament with Allegri on the bench. And pay attention to the away performance of Udinese, which after losing their first two games away from the Dacia Arena have totaled two wins and two draws in their last four.
