The National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) and the Ministry of Health updated, this Thursday (17), the data on the situation of Covid-19 in Brazil. See the numbers from the last survey.

- 69,825 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours;

- 6.132.683 recovered (until December 16, at 6:40 pm).
On July 29, the country recorded the largest number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours; were 72.377 new cases.
On June 16, less than a month after reaching the sad mark of one million confirmed cases of Covid-19, Brazil reaches the record of more than two million infected in the country. On July 8, the country reached a million of people recovered from the disease. Currently, Brazil is the second country with the most deaths registered by the new coronavirus, behind only the United States.
Covid-19: Situation in the world
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the new coronavirus has already infected more than 74 million people worldwide, a milestone reached just ten months after it appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The number of deaths by Covid-19 in the world exceeded 1.6 million. On the other hand, more than 42 million people have already recovered from the disease.
